Walsh Taxi provides private tours to some of Irelands main attractions in Killarney, including the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Pensula. For those who are travelling Ireland and are considering taking a visit to these attractions, read on below to find out more about two of Irelands great attractions.
Ring of Kerry
The Ring of Kerry is part of the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question and it is a natural centre for outdoor pursuits including golf, watersports, cycling, walking, riding and the very best fishing for salmon & trout.
The Ring of Kerry has some of the finest beaches in Europe that provide all the facilities for a traditional seaside holiday.
Above all the Ring of Kerry provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland - see the Iron Age Forts & Ogham Stones, Old Monasteries and a landscape carved out of rock by the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago.
Visitors to Ireland should not miss a trip to the beautiful Ring of Kerry - we will pick you up and give you the guided tour, you will not be disapointed.
Dingle Peninsula
There are so many things to see, to do, to explore, to experience on the Dingle Peninsula. From almost 2,000 archaeological sites, to more walking than you could fit into a year, to Fungie, a bottlenose dolphin who's been living at the mouth of Dingle Harbour since 1984, to a day spent on the Blasket Islands.
Savour the activities that most appeal to you or plan to spend enough time on the peninsula to sample them all! Dingle is situated in a Gaeltacht region. There are many opportunities to hear traditional Celtic music in the town, particularly in the summer tourist season.
Dingle has a number of pubs as well as restaurants and cafes. The Dingle Peninsula is a place of intense, shifting beauty. Spectacular mountains, long sandy beaches and the staggering splinter-slatted mass of rocks that defines the extraordinary coast at Slea Head all conspire to ensure that, remote though it is, the Dingle Peninsula is firmly on the tourist trail.
For those who are coming over on a Golfing holiday, we can accommodate you. Killarney has many excellent golf courses including:
Killarney Golf & Fishing (18 hole)
Nestled amongst the splendor of the famous lakes of Killarney and with the spectacular backdrop of the MacGillycuddy Reeks, Ireland's highest mountain range, lies three unique Courses to challenge you.
Killarney Golf & Fishing Club is one of the oldest, most established and internationally recognised clubs in Ireland where golf has been played since the 19th Century. The club offers three totally unique courses each with a different challenge to the golfer.
Beaufort Golf Club (18 hole)
Beaufort Golf Course Killarney is part of Churchtown Estate, the centre piece of which is the Georgian house built in 1740 by Sir Roland Blennerhassett.
The estate was bought in 1860 by James MacGillycuddy Magill and it is his grandson and great grandsons who own it today and who have developed this great course.
The ruins of Castle Core stand beside the 13th green and it was from here that the stone was taken to build the house.
The entrance to the course is lined with two hundred year old trees and the pineapples which crown the gate pillars are a traditional symbol of hospitality.
